Warrington can be reached via M6 Junction 20, J21 or J22, M56 J10 or J11, or M62 J8, J9 or J11 motorways.

By train
On the west coast line London Euston to Glasgow Central gets you to Bank Quay station. The Manchester to Liverpool stops at Warrington Central station.

By boat
The Manchester ship canal passes right through Warrington as does the Bridgewater canal.

By plane
The closest airport is in Manchester (MIA) 20 minutes away as is Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

By cycle
The Trans Pennine cycle trail passes through Warrington's suburbs, linking from Liverpool right across to Hull on the East Coast. The route through Warrington consists of old railway tracks, cinder tracks across heathland, canal tow paths and a little tarmac too.

Radiate from the Bus Station (soon to be replaced by a new facility) in the town centre.

The town centre has car parks, but is subject to jams at peak times or when the local motorway system is blocked by accidents or roadworks, as there are only 4 places where the Mersey can be crossed in the Liverpool/Warrington area.

By train
Padgate, Birchwood and Sankey have commuter rail stations linking them with Warrington town centre, Liverpool and Manchester to catch these go to Warrington Central Station in the town centre.

The Travelodge is in the town centre, convenient for both train stations and costs around £30 pppn, Premier Travel Inn have several hotels in Warrington and a room costs £46.95 a night. The nearest "luxury" hotel is the Lord Daresbury (£35-£55 pppn), off the M56 about 5 miles from the town centre.
